Social networking, albeit not new, is a growing phenomena. Facebook, Myspace, YouTube have been around for awhile. One of the up and coming is Twitter.
Twitter recently was able to raise $35 million in venture capital to fund future expansion.
Why?
It is a new type of social media. Essentially micro blogging in 140 characters or less, it is a method of bringing the global community together. The bigger it grows and the more addictive it becomes, the more opportunities there will be for the internet marketer.
An open, one-person-speaking to millions entity, Twitter facilitates social connections, knowledge transfer and brings us a real time mechanism for tapping the wisdom of all the millions. Trends will be noted as they develop. New Twitter applications will evolve.
How cool is it to follow (and be followed) by heads of countries, large corporations and business leaders? One can learn from the real time exchange of ideas on a scale not previously possible.
Stay tuned to Twitter and if you are into internet marketing, get yourself a Twitter account. The opportunity is there to link to your website, to post links to your blog and to make your wisdom known to the world.
Warmly,
BJ

The best advice
I keep going back to three books in my steep learning curve as an internet marketer.
Tim Ferris' The Four Hour Work Week
Masterson and Tribby's Changing the Channel
and
Rosalind Gardner's The Super Affiliate's Handbook.
One can keep jumping from information source to information source but when it comes right down it, one does not need more than those three books to get started.
Check them out.
Cheers,
BJ
